We launched SoHot Host in 2021, as there was a need for a good, local management company that could successfully let properties to corporate and leisure clients visiting Thanet. We bring our experience & professional service to landlords who do not have the time or head space to deal with the volume of work involved in letting their properties to short-stay clients.
We launched with Four clear objectives:
Full management service
Short-term letting can be more hassle than it’s worth. That’s why we take care of everything – from taking professional photographs, through to listing apartments on the OTA’s, handling reservations, guest access, cleaning and 24-hour cover should any problems arise during the guest’s stay. This way, you can sit back, relax and watch whilst we boost your property revenue.
Our full management service includes
- Initial assessment, including tips on how to make your property holiday let ready (if required).
- High-quality photographs and property description written by a professional copywriter.
- Managing reservations, including email and phone contact.
- Available for guests – 24 hours, 7 days a week.
- Attending to any problems that might arise during your guest’s stay.
- A thorough clean of the property once your guests have departed, including changing linen and towels and replenishing items of stock (e.g. dishwasher tablets, hand wash).
Getting Holiday Let Ready
Whether you’re departing your property for a set period, or it’s permanently vacant – we’ll help you prepare for holiday letting.
Our first meeting is at your property. There, we’ll advise you on how best to prepare holiday letting, and discuss the entire process as well as our pricing, fees and any questions or concerns you may have. When you’re ready we’ll take beautiful photographs, write an irresistible description and go live on the largest holiday letting platforms within 48 hours.
Cleaning
Hotel-standard professional cleaning with an attention to detail. Our crack team of cleaners ensures your property will always be maintained to the highest standard. Quick, professional and trustworthy, we’ll change linen and towels and replenish household items, such as bathroom essentials. This way – just like a hotel – the gap between guests checking out and guests checking in never needs to be long. Check out our sister company, SoHot Clean for more details.
Laundry
One of the most important process of successful holiday letting, is getting the right quantity of linen to your property, at the right time. A host needs to know that on change over days, fresh, clean linen will be available for your new guests.
SoHot Host has its own commercial laundry. This means that we can handle all of your laundry needs, delivering clean linen on each change over day. We also provide free storage, so no need for you to take up valuable space in your property.

Communication
The key to excellent Holiday let ratings starts with excellent communication & ends in receiving positive 5⭐️ reviews.
Holiday let success often depends on the level of communication between host and guest. We believe it needs to be swift, polite and efficient in order to find you the best guests and receive the best reviews.
Likewise, we strive to make sure that you get what you need, and you will always receive a monthly report detailing all booking information, revenues & expenses, so there are no surprises.

With over 10 years of property development and management experience and 4 years of short-term lettings, you can feel confident that your property will be in safe hands. The team at SoHot Host are local, so if any issues arise, we’re on hand to fix it. We also have a fantastic team of plumbers, electricians, maintenance personal, so should your property suffer a fault, we will get it resolved before your guests even arrive.

- We will arrange & pay for our expert professional photographer to capture your apartment in the best light. Plus write a professional literary masterpiece describing the benefits and features of your property.
- We will also provide your guests with complimentary ‘freebies’ such as toiletry packs and biscuits plus some branded goodies, like pencils and pads.
